

To boost its economic development, the commune has focused its investment on building its basic infrastructure such as power supply facilities, roads, schools and medical stations. All village roads in the commune have been concretised, and two- and three-storey houses have popped up to replace roof-tiled ones.ĭinh Bang has a total area of 850ha and a population of nearly 16,000. Many households have become well-off, with average annually incomes amounting to tens of millions of VND, some even have earned billions of VND a year.ĭinh Bang has been selected as one of the 14 pilot localities across the country to implement the new rural model by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. These companies and businesses have annually contributed between VND15-30 billion to the local budget, and they expect to raise the figure to VND40 billion by the end of this year. It has licensed nearly 1,400 private businesses to operate in various areas. To date the commune has built two industrial parks, attracting more than 100 companies and businesses. It issued a very important directive entitled The Japanese-French Conflict and Our Action penned by the late Party General Secretary Truong Chinh.ĭinh Bang had the honour to welcome the late President Ho Chi Minh four times and received many awards from the Party and State, including the title “The Hero of People’s Armed Forces” and “The Exploit Order”, first class.ĭinh Bang is one of the first places to have carried out the Doi Moi (Renewal) policy initiated and launched by the Communist Party of Vietnam. At an enlarged meeting from March 9-12, 1945, the Standing Bureau of the Party Central Committee worked out major guidelines to lead the revolution to success. The Party Central Committee convened its 7 th conference in the commune on November 9-11, 1940, to identify the major tasks of the revolution in the lead up to the General Uprising in August 1945. Many houses became hideouts of late revolutionary activists such as Truong Chinh, Hoang Van Thu and Hoang Quoc Viet.
